MFB Family Grows!

We're excited to announce the arrival of the newest member of the MFBIndy family.  On October 10th, after 17 long hours, our Operations Manager, Jeremy Baynai and his wife Kristen welcomed their first child, Spencer Edmund.  Spencer came into the world at 8lb 7oz and 21in long.  We're thrilled for them both and thankful for a happy, healthy little boy.

Lilly Global Day of Service

Golf Outing Recap + Pics!

Our 5th Annual Golf Outing in Peoria, IL on Tuesday, September 16th was a huge success thanks to WeaverRidge Golf Club, all the sponsors, volunteers and God for the great weather and conditions for the golfer. This increasingly popular event drew over 100 golfers through a very challenging course. A great buffet dinner and raffle followed. Check out some pics from the day here.

New Power Jacks!

            Today MFBIndy received a delivery of two brand new Toyota Electric Power Jacks!  These make the work our volunteers do around the warehouse infinitely easier than the manual pallet jacks when trying to move a ton of water.  ProLift (a Toyota Company) offered these below cost and Dow AgroSciences gave us a grant to pay nearly 3/4 of the cost.  The thanks of MFBIndy …

ISU Volunteers at Bloomington

The staff at the IL State Univ Student Counseling Center spent part of their staff training at the Bloomington warehouse building pre-load pallets to be used for the September Distribution Week.  Due to their efforts they built over 20 pair of pallets getting us past half way to the total sets of pallets required for the week,  Thanks to a great job by all of you!

Booth Brothers Concert Sept 4

Tender Mercies load fulfilled for Backpack Program!

July has been very busy so far and God’s hand is showing through it all. We have another load scheduled for our friends in Arkansas. Our 5th Annual Clay Shoot for Hunger in Mackinaw, IL on Saturday, June 28th was a huge success thanks to the Oak Ridge Sportman's Club, all the sponsors, volunteers and God for the great weather and conditions for the shooters.  This increasingly popular event drew 148 shooters to aim and shoot 100 clays through a course designed for all levels of experience.  Top shooter and teams where recognized after a hearty lunch. Group needed for May 29

Packing Disaster Boxes

MFB receives grant from Clothes Less Traveled

In 2013 our single biggest financial contributor was the Clothes Less Traveled Thrift Store. This great organization makes a difference in our community by providing financial grants to many of the service organizations in this area. Their generous financial grant to Midwest Food Bank helped us to bring in an estimated 30 truckloads of food this year. That equates to over 60,000 cases of food we were able to further distribute to …

Toyota Forklifts of Atlanta Donates Forklift

On November 5th 2013 representatives of Toyota Forklifts of Atlanta donated a Forklift to the Midwest Food bank Georgia Division. The Georgia Division Dinner/Auction was held November 9 in the warehouse.  Speakers Larry Herman, First Vice-President MFB and Willie M. Midwest Food Bank Helps Victims of Tornado in Oklahoma

Midwest Food Bank has responded to a request from The Salvation Army and is sending family food boxes to victims of the tornado in Oklahoma.    A family food box contains food and personal care products for a family of four for four or five days.  The first two loads of boxes were delivered Thursday morning with additional loads expected to leave next week.  Each semi trailer holds 750 boxes.  The food bank is …

Georgia Location Opens
