This year’s Midwest Food Bank Pennsylvania golf outing generated a net profit of $37,680, making it our most successful golf outing to date supporting hunger relief. Because of the generosity of sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and supporters, those funds will help Midwest Food Bank provide more than 300,000 meals to individuals and families facing food insecurity throughout our region.
A little rain could not stop a day built around Pennsylvania hunger relief. Luckily the weather quickly improved after a rainy start, making way for a wonderful day of golf, fellowship, and fun. But the most important result came well beyond the course. Every registration, sponsorship, donated raffle item, and volunteer hour contributed to hunger relief in our communities.
"Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and supporters, this year's outing generated a net profit of $37,680 - our most successful golf outing to date!"

One Golf Outing Will Help Provide More Than 300,000 Meals
The numbers tell an important part of the story. This year’s outing resulted in:
– $37,680 in net profit
– More than 300,000 meals to be provided
– The most successful Midwest Food Bank Pennsylvania golf outing to date
Those results were possible because many people chose to participate in different ways.
Some sponsored the event or a hole. Some spent the day golfing. Others donated raffle items or volunteered their time. Each contribution became part of the same effort to strengthen Pennsylvania hunger relief.
The need for that work remains significant. Feeding Pennsylvania reports that 1.7 million Pennsylvanians are experiencing hunger and food insecurity. The organization also notes that food insecurity can affect people with permanent housing and steady employment when costs such as food, healthcare, and other household expenses become difficult to manage.
For people who need food assistance, Feeding Pennsylvania’s food assistance resources can help connect individuals and families with food banks and programs in their communities.
