A Decision that Reached Beyond the Fairway

League 4

At the end of 2025, a local disc golf organization made a thoughtful decision about how to use its funds. Connecticut Bring Your Own Partner Best Disc Doubles, a league created to grow the sport of disc golf, chose to direct its donation toward food support.

The league welcomes players of all experience levels and works to create a comfortable, encouraging environment. A portion of each monthly fee traditionally supports a disc golf fund and ace pot, with excess funds often donated back to local courses to help cover equipment needs.

This year, the league unanimously agreed that circumstances beyond the course called for a different response. With awareness of growing challenges in the world around them, members decided it was more important to help feed people.

Their decision reflects how small groups can make a meaningful impact when generosity becomes the priority. Midwest Food Bank is grateful for donors who see beyond tradition and choose to respond with care when it matters most.
