On November 5, Midwest Food Bank Arizona welcomed Amy Minniear as its new Volunteer Coordinator, a role central to guiding servant-hearted volunteers who support food relief and disaster relief efforts.
Amy has experience across nonprofit work, military service, small business, private sector roles, and public service. Born and raised in Illinois and living in Arizona for the past 30 years, she brings a blend of structure, hospitality, and service-minded strength. Her favorite roles are being a mom, a dog mom, and a host to international college students. In her free time, she enjoys family, friends, live theatre, movies, board games, reading, and baking.

“Amy brings energy and positivity to this role, in addition to her diverse background,” says Merilee Baptiste, Executive Director. “She will be a tremendous asset to our volunteer program.”
Her new role connects volunteers to the daily mission. She will support onboarding, communication, scheduling, and the flow that shapes distribution days.
Midwest Food Bank Arizona relies on volunteers who sort, repackage, and distribute food. Strong coordination helps them serve safely and efficiently. Amy’s background offers the steadiness needed for this work. Please join us in giving Amy a warm welcome.
