In 2025, more than 3,700 volunteers gave their time and energy to support food and disaster relief efforts. With so many willing hands, thousands of pounds of food were prepared and sent to communities in need.
Much of this work focused on disaster relief and Tender Mercies meals. Volunteers helped prepare and send 20,000 disaster relief boxes. Although no major hurricanes impacted the United States for the first time in ten years, these prepared boxes were used in humanitarian relief efforts and helped meet needs in new communities.
This year also marked the furthest destination disaster relief boxes have traveled. Food was sent to Alaska, nearly 3,600 miles away.
In addition, more than 436,000 Tender Mercies bags were prepared, including both single serve and large meal formats. These efforts resulted in approximately 1.2 million meals distributed across the country and internationally, reaching places such as Haiti and Jamaica.
Volunteers contributed approximately 15,400 hours of service throughout the year. With a staff of three, these hours equal the work of roughly seven additional full time employees.
This work was made possible through faithful service, teamwork, and a shared commitment to serving others.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23–24
