Midwest Food Bank Texas is grateful to the Amazon Local Good Team for their generous partnership and for blessing our ministry with so many essential returned items.
These donations are already making a meaningful difference as our volunteers sort, organize, and prepare the items for distribution to individuals and families in need across our community.
Â
Each week, volunteers carefully sift through the donated goods and categorize them into six main areas so they can be shared efficiently with partner agencies and neighbors who can put them to good use:
Â
- Home Goods: Practical household items such as small kitchen tools, linens, storage supplies, décor, and other everyday essentials that help families create safe and functional living spaces.
- Clothing: New or gently returned apparel, shoes, outerwear, and accessories that can help meet basic needs for children, adults, and families throughout the year.
- Health and Medical Supplies: Helpful wellness and care items, including first-aid supplies, personal care products, mobility supports, and other medical-related essentials that support health and dignity.
- School Supplies: Classroom and learning materials such as notebooks, folders, writing tools, backpacks, and other supplies that help students and teachers prepare for success.
- Children/Baby Supplies: Items for infants and young children, including diapers, baby gear, toys, clothing, feeding supplies, and other necessities that support growing families.
- Electronics: Useful electronic items and accessories such as chargers, small devices, headphones, cords, and other technology-related supplies that can meet practical needs.
Â
This partnership is a wonderful example of how returned items can be redirected with purpose, helping reduce waste while providing valuable resources to people who need them most. We are thankful for the Amazon Local Good Team’s commitment to giving back and for the volunteers who make this work possible through their time, care, and attention to detail.
