In December, volunteers gathered for an appreciation dinner honoring core volunteers and those who reached significant service milestones throughout 2025.
Around 40 guests shared a meal, laughter, and friendly competition during an online trivia game focused on distribution work and local operations. When asked what they would most want to see inside a disaster relief box, peanut butter and Girl Scout cookies quickly rose to the top.
Volunteer Coordinator Brittany Parker reflected on the evening, saying, “It was so great to see all the support for our mission in one room. Group leads who work during the day met those who help at night, and board members got to interact with the individuals who help make this work possible.”
Consistent volunteering has given many of these individuals more than an opportunity to serve. It has created a shared community built on relationships, purpose, and a passion for giving back.
We are deeply grateful for every volunteer who contributes time, energy, and heart. Those interested in serving in 2026 are welcome to join upcoming public volunteer opportunities.
