Sue Collare represents the kind of consistent, faith-driven volunteer service that keeps Midwest Food Bank Pennsylvania running each week. Her commitment helps ensure food is distributed efficiently and volunteers feel welcomed and supported.
Sue is a retired volunteer who first connected with Midwest Food Bank through her church. She now serves regularly on Wednesday mornings, helping welcome volunteers and assist with office and warehouse needs. She is known for her flexibility, positive spirit, and willingness to step into almost any role, as long as we don’t hand her the forklift keys.
New Volunteers Expanding Community Impact
Midwest Food Bank Pennsylvania has also welcomed several new volunteers in the first quarter, strengthening our ability to serve partner agencies and local communities. Patti H. has stepped into a bookkeeping role after supporting administrative needs, while Ron W. now serves as a forklift driver, assisting with load-out operations. Robin H. contributes to both distribution and reception coverage, and Dawn L. supports Tuesday morning coordination at the door.Â
Together, these volunteers help extend the reach and reliability of hunger relief efforts across the region.
