Midwest Food Bank Partners Help Fund Weekend Meal Support for Kids
Our annual event raised more than $80,000 to support Midwest Food Bank Pennsylvania programs that provide food to children through weekend backpack programs, in-school pantries, afterschool support, and summer meal initiatives.
Funds raised through Baubles for Backpacks will help provide meals and support for more than 36,100 children through nonprofit and school partnerships across Central Pennsylvania.
We had such a fun and successful event. Held on April 17, 2026, the event brought together community members, sponsors, and supporters committed to addressing child hunger in the region.
Midwest Food Bank Pennsylvania thanked presenting sponsor Roland Builder, program presenter Mountz Jewelers, matching gift sponsor CommunityAid Foundation, and guest speaker Koren Clark for helping make the evening possible.
Organizers also shared that 80% of all event revenue returned directly to program support, helping maximize resources for local children and families.
In addition to financial support, attendees donated 500 pounds of clothing and accessories to CommunityAid, benefiting both CommunityAid and Midwest Food Bank Pennsylvania programs.
As an independent, faith-based food bank, Midwest Food Bank Pennsylvania distributes food free of charge to nonprofit partners throughout the region. Events like Baubles for Backpacks help sustain those efforts year-round.
