Each year, Caterpillar employees select two local nonprofits to receive support through CAT Charities Week, an annual fundraising campaign that celebrates giving back across the community.
This year, Midwest Food Bank Morton was honored to once again be selected as one of those organizations alongside the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Throughout the week, Midwest Food Bank participated in special events atCaterpillar’s Morton facility, including a community celebration where staff connected with employees and helped conclude the week by drawing prize winners from the event’s many gift baskets.
The partnership extends well beyond a single week each year. Caterpillar employees regularly volunteer at Midwest Food Bank Morton through team-building projects, while the Caterpillar Foundation’s matching gift program helps multiply charitable contributions and further strengthen the mission.
CAT Charities Week also included a generous $22,779 donation to Midwest Food Bank Morton. Combined with volunteer service and a long-standing partnership, the gift will help provide food and essential resources to nonprofit partners and families experiencing food insecurity. Many CAT employees utilize our warehouse for team building events and through their donation match program, every donation made can be matched 1:1. What a fun week to be blessed!
