This past Giving Tuesday, Midwest Food Bank participated in the Fox 59 and CBS4 Pack the Pantry campaign, a statewide effort designed to support food pantries and raise awareness around food access.
The initiative brought together media partners, community members, and nonprofit organizations to encourage food donations during a critical season. Through coverage and outreach, the campaign helped highlight the ongoing need to keep pantry shelves stocked for households across Indiana.
As part of this effort, Midwest Food Bank received a $5,000 donation from the Nexstar Media Charitable Foundation. This generous support will help strengthen food distribution efforts and extend the impact of the campaign beyond Giving Tuesday.
Being part of Pack the Pantry allowed Midwest Food Bank to stand alongside other partners working toward the same goal, ensuring food reaches communities where it is needed most. Collaborative efforts like this show how media partnerships and community action can come together to support food access.
