Every other week, the Village of Dixmoor Community Center becomes a hub of activity as volunteers and staff prepare for drive-through and walk-up guests. Fresh produce, proteins, dairy, and pantry staples are offered, along with seasonal items and household essentials when available.
Village staff oversee site flow and traffic control while LifeHouse staff and resident volunteers set up stations for produce, protein, pantry items, and optional add-ons. Seating and ADA-aware lines ensure comfort for seniors and guests with mobility needs. Volunteers also assist with loading vehicles or carrying groceries, creating a smooth and respectful experience for everyone.
