Canales Furniture, a family-owned company serving Texas and Oklahoma for more than two decades, has joined Midwest Food Bank – Texas Division to support families facing food insecurity. Known for offering quality and affordable furniture, the Canales family is now extending their commitment to community service.

Through this partnership, volunteers from Canales Furniture serve by sorting food, building pallets, and helping distribute free groceries. Their work supports Midwest Food Bank’s mission to uplift local families with steady compassion and practical relief.
“We are grateful for the Canales family’s generosity and for their willingness to serve alongside us,” said Sam Thompson, Executive Director, Midwest Food Bank – Texas Division. “Partnerships like this strengthen our ability to provide hope and nourishment to thousands of families each month.”

This collaboration was made possible by Texas Board Member Ana Garcia of First United Bank, who connected Midwest Food Bank with Lupita and Nelly Canales. Their leadership and compassion helped bring the partnership to life.
Canales Furniture, founded more than 20 years ago, continues its tradition of serving communities with humility and faithful dedication.
