April and May are often peak months for tornado activity across the country, and this year has already brought frequent and severe storms to many communities.
Midwest Food Bank Morton continues responding to disaster-affected areas with practical relief supplies tailored to the needs of each location.
Recent responses included deliveries to Northern Wisconsin and Hattiesburg, Mississippi after communities experienced tornado damage and flooding. In Wisconsin, both disaster relief food boxes and flood cleanup buckets were needed to support recovery efforts.
Midwest Food Bank flood cleanup buckets are packed inside sturdy 5-gallon buckets and include practical supplies such as scrub brushes, detergents, garbage bags, and work gloves to help families begin cleaning and rebuilding after flooding.
With recent deliveries to Mississippi, Midwest Food Bank Morton has now distributed more than 13,000 disaster relief food boxes across the country so far this year.
As recovery efforts continue in many regions, we remain grateful for volunteers, donors, and partners who help make rapid response possible. Please continue praying for families and communities still rebuilding after these devastating storms.
