December 19, 2025 marked the final load out of the year, and it was celebrated in a way that reflected gratitude for every person who serves. The distribution took on a Christmas theme, creating a space filled with warmth, music, and shared connection.
As volunteers worked, the Castlewood Singers filled the warehouse with holiday carols, setting a joyful tone throughout the day. Lunch was prepared by longtime core volunteer Rosie Lewis, who lovingly cooked her well known chicken and homemade noodles for everyone to enjoy.
This distribution also served as a time of reunion. Volunteers and staff from years past were invited to join, including those who may no longer have the capacity to serve regularly. Their presence added depth to the day, reminding everyone that service leaves lasting relationships behind.
The final distribution of the year was not only about moving food. It was about fellowship, gratitude, and honoring the many hands and hearts that have made the work possible.
