A new certification highlights how we at Midwest Food Bank manage resources, report outcomes, and maintain accountability, giving our donors and partners a clearer view of how support is used.
This certification reflects a detailed, independent review by Excellence in Giving. It looks at how we operate, report results, and steward resources. It gives our donors, partners, and volunteers a clear and verified view of our work.
The Certified Transparent designation is based on more than 175 data points across strategy, leadership, finances, and impact. It shows how we manage resources, measure results, and remain consistent over time. You can learn more about the process here: https://analytics.excellenceingiving.com/about/
Transparency matters in hunger relief because of the scale and urgency of the work. We serve through 2,400 partner organizations, so clear reporting helps ensure resources reach people as intended. It also helps our partners plan, and it builds trust with those who support this work.
Our data helps show how we carry this out. In fiscal year 2025, we delivered $548 million in food and supplies to support our partners. We operate with 37,000 volunteers and spend less than 1 cent to raise each dollar. These numbers are part of the reviewed reporting behind this certification.
Our mission is to share the love of Christ by alleviating hunger and providing disaster relief. This certification reflects how we carry that mission out in clear and measurable ways. For those who support or are exploring our work, this designation offers added confidence. It shows how resources are used and how outcomes are tracked.
Transparency is ongoing. This recognition marks where we are today and guides how we continue to serve with clarity and accountability.
