Expanding our serve

Midwest Food Bank Florida has been experiencing some exciting growth. We’ve made some changes recently to adjust to the volume of food we receive and the number of agencies we serve.

In March, we changed our distribution model to every Tuesday. Prior to this, distribution was only two days per month.

This wouldn’t be possible without a growing base of volunteers dedicated to helping those in need. For example, on March 27, the FGCU women’s basketball team helped with distribution. We appreciate their help and hope they’ll be back soon.

With all of this growth, MFB doesn’t want to lose sight of those who benefit from the food we distribute. Iglesias de diose Pentecostal serves food to over 300 people in the Lehigh area each week. We recently joined them to help distribute and see the great work they are doing.
