Yesterday, the West Shore Area Chamber of Commerce Luminary Awards celebrated nine extraordinary women whose leadership and character are shaping our community. Midwest Food Bank was honored to be named the nonprofit of choice by four of the nine nominees and the only nonprofit recognized more than once.
Among these inspiring nominees was Kelly Palmer, who selected Midwest Food Bank and was named the winner of the Shining Star Award. Through her recognition, Midwest Food Bank will receive a generous donation to continue serving families facing food insecurity across the Capital Region.
We were deeply moved to see multiple nominees highlight the importance of addressing hunger. In addition to Kelly Palmer, we celebrate:.
- Christine Pavlakovich
- Essence Doucet, MBA, PMP, CSM, AWS CCP
- Lori Renne, former Executive Director of Midwest Food BankList Item #3
Their steadfast belief in our mission affirms that food relief is not only necessary but continues to resonate powerfully in our community.
We are humbled by this recognition and grateful for every partnership that allows us to bless others with food, fellowship, and hope.
Kathy Anderson-Martin, Lori Renne, Janice Reinke
