Friday, June 15, 2018, greeted us with radiant sunshine for the third annual Midwest Food Bank Golf Outing. Though it was a hot day, the LORD blessed us with a breeze, sunscreen, and many smiles – a great reminder of how fortunate we are.
Golfers began registering at 11 am and received a delicious lunch provided by Chick-Fil-A. After we prayed over the day and MFB, the golfers zoomed off. The Den at Fox Creek is a fantastic course for an afternoon of fellowship, while helping raise funds for those in need.
As teams finished, they returned to a savory dinner from Biaggi’s. They checked their raffle tickets to see if they won any of the many great prizes.
Many thanks to all the golfers who participated. And a huge thank you to our volunteers and sponsors who made this event possible. In particular, Lorraine Wilmert, Bob Adkins, and Neal Beer gave a lot of their time to make the outing a success. Above all, we are thankful for the blessing of the LORD on the day.
