How Else Can They Learn?

One generation shall praise thy works to another

-Psalm 145:4

It’s a wonderful thing to see the joy of giving come alive in the eyes of children. We are blessed to be able to provide that learning experience at Midwest Food Bank.

Many tasks in a warehouse setting are unsuitable for youngsters. Forklifts aren’t usually driven by children. But there are many ways young people can volunteer and make a difference in the lives of others.

At Midwest Food Bank, there are a number of service projects easy enough for a child to do. They can know how good it feels to be a part of the process of feeding the hungry. For service projects, we ask that everyone wear appropriate attire (including closed-toe shoes), and young people be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
