Access to hygiene products can make a significant difference in whether a young girl is able to attend school consistently.
To help remove that barrier, Midwest Food Bank East Africa partnered with The Amina Myriam Foundation to distribute hygiene kits to approximately 400 girls in Busia County, Uganda.
The kits provide essential supplies that help girls manage their health with confidence while remaining focused on their education. By reducing one of the challenges that can interrupt school attendance, the partnership supports both student well-being and academic success.
The distribution reflects a shared commitment to investing in young women and creating opportunities for them to remain engaged in the classroom.
Through partnerships like this, Midwest Food Bank East Africa continues to support programs that address practical needs while strengthening communities across the region.
Together, these efforts help ensure more students have the resources they need to continue learning and pursuing their goals.
Small acts of care can create lasting opportunities.
