Kapu Africa supporting cancer ministry

Sally Agalo Kwenda is the group secretary of Stoma World Kenya, a group founded in 2010 to provide patients living with ileostomies, urostomies, and colostomies with essential care and support. She represents the group in the Kenya network of cancer survivors. Sally is also a three-time cancer survivor and ostomate.

Sally is inspired by the resilience of other ostomates’ desire to live and enjoy a normal life. Her dream is to see stoma centers in almost all hospitals in Kenya thanks to the efforts of Stoma World Kenya. This will greatly enhance the quality of life for all ostomates.

Kapu Africa (Midwest Food Bank East Africa) supports the work of Stoma World Kenya with both Tender Mercies and Unimix. In Sally’s words, “The mercies are so tender.” She offers a few more details in the brief video at right.
