Kieser family wins Distinguished Service Award

The family of Midwest Food Bank founder and president, David Kieser, was honored at the McLean County Republican Party Lincoln Reagan Dinner. Held Friday, May 17, the dinner included a presentation by  White House Chef Martin Mongiello, and a silent auction.

Chosen from among eight other nominees, the David Kieser family was one of two recipients of the Distinguished Service Medal. Kieser and his brothers started the Midwest Food Bank on their family farm in 2003. In the 16 years following, MFB has grown to eight domestic and two international locations, serving over 1,700 non-profit partner agencies each month.

“This work could not be done without the help of generous donors and dedicated volunteers,” said Kieser. “Above all, the ultimate glory and honor go to God.”
