Komatsu and Cummins Employees Pack More Than 23,000 Meals

When companies come together to serve, the impact reaches far beyond a single volunteer day.

In June, Midwest Food Bank Morton welcomed employees from Komatsu and Cummins for a joint day of service centered on teamwork and giving back. After touring the warehouse and learning more about the mission, volunteers jumped into projects that directly support local families and disaster relief efforts.

Together, the group packed more than 23,000 Tender Mercies meals for local food pantries before assembling enough garbage bags to supply approximately 3,800 disaster relief cleanup buckets.

The event also highlighted a partnership that continues to grow. Since 2021, Komatsu employees have contributed more than 1,658 volunteer hours between the Peoria and Morton divisions, consistently investing their time and talents to help serve others.

Midwest Food Bank Morton is grateful for the continued partnership of Komatsu and for welcoming Cummins into a day dedicated to serving the community together.

Partnerships become stronger when people serve side byside.
