Kroger fights hunger in Central Illinois

Kroger created a new way to show its commitment to the cause of hunger relief. Inspired by Valentine’s Day, Kroger Central Division made unexpected donations to food banks and other agencies across its five-state region.

On February 21, Kroger presented Midwest Food Bank Bloomington-Normal a check for over $17,000. With MFB’s dollar cost averaging, this donation will provide more that $425,000 of food distributed to those in need. On behalf of those recipients, we offer our sincere, “Thank you,” the Kroger Company.

Below is a photo of Josh Marshall, stare manager of the Kroger in Normal, presenting the donation to Tara Ingham, MFB Bloomington-Normal’s Executive Director.
