On Friday, June 13, a full roster of 84 golfers gathered at The Den Golf Course for a day of fellowship and fun in support of Midwest Food Bank Normal. The four-man best ball format set the stage for friendly competition as teams played for top honors and enjoyed several hole contests.
Overcast skies offered a welcome break from the summer heat, creating perfect conditions for a day on the greens. The outing blended laughter, camaraderie, and purpose as players rallied behind the mission of fighting food insecurity.
The success of the event was made possible through the generosity of sponsors
The outing featured more than 65 giveaway items, ensuring excitement both on and off the course. Teams enjoyed a balance of lighthearted competition and meaningful fellowship, all while supporting communities in need.
Their participation, along with all the other golfers, helped make this event a success.. Primary sponsors included CIT Trucks, Chick-fil-A, Miller Insurance, Pro Air, Sam Leman Automotive Group, Troxell Insurance, and the Tinervan Foundation. Eighteen-hole sponsors also contributed, helping make the event a day to remember.
With the mission of serving those facing food insecurity at the heart of the day, the outing proved to be more than a game of golf. It was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together in service.
Mark your calendars: next year’s outing is set for Friday, June 19, 2026.
