Midwest Food Bank Florida is pleased to welcome Laurie Stanley as our new Volunteer Coordinator.
Laurie joined the Fort Myers team on July 6, 2026, where she will lead volunteer engagement, recruitment, scheduling, and retention efforts. Her passion for connecting people with meaningful opportunities makes her a natural fit for this role.
Throughout her career, Laurie has focused on volunteer coordination, relationship building, and community engagement. She enjoys creating positive experiences that encourage people to serve while strengthening relationships with churches, businesses, schools, and community organizations.
As Volunteer Coordinator, Laurie will help expand our volunteer program and connect more individuals with opportunities to help alleviate hunger throughout Southwest Florida.
Outside the warehouse, Laurie has been married to her husband, Robert, for 33 years, and they have a daughter, Emma, who is studying engineering at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Laurie has volunteered at tennis tournaments for more than 30 years, including the past 13 years with Madison’s Match, an organization supporting local pediatric brain cancer patients. She also enjoys tennis and spending time with her orange tabby cat, Owie.
We’re excited to have Laurie as part of the Midwest Food Bank Florida family and look forward to the relationships she will build throughout our community.
