We are grateful to work alongside Clear Foundation in local hunger relief. Our partnership shares a simple purpose: helping people have the food they need while supporting the community organizations that serve them.
For Clear Foundation, helping others starts with the needs right in front of them. Food for a family. A warm cup of coffee. A belt for someone who needs one. Each is an opportunity to offer practical help and show care for another person.
“Helping others is our primary goal,” Clear Foundation shares. The organization believes everyone should have food and water to sustain daily life. That commitment guides its service, from providing food to responding to the smaller requests that arise along the way.
Food that makes a difference at home
For one family living on a fixed income, food from Clear Foundation has made a meaningful difference. Having that help means they can give more attention to their personal affairs without being hungry.
Their appreciation extends to knowing where to find support. They describe a familiar place where Clear Foundation is present and ready to respond when they ask for help. They also remember receiving a hot cup of coffee and help with an everyday clothing need.
“We love CF for the continued help,” they share.
Those words reflect what the family values: food, practical assistance, and help that continues. Clear Foundation’s care has become something they know and appreciate in their daily lives.
A fixed income can leave little flexibility when household expenses rise. Feeding America describes how living costs put pressure on food budgets, particularly for people whose incomes cannot keep pace. For this family, Clear Foundation’s food assistance helps meet that need.
Their experience brings the purpose of local hunger relief close to home. Food support reaches a household, helps ease hunger, and gives someone room to focus on the other responsibilities in their life.
Care in the everyday details
Patrick, a longtime client in downtown Chicago, has needed help finding a belt to hold up his pants. Clear Foundation has brought him at least three.
It is an ordinary item with an immediate use. When Clear Foundation shared Patrick’s story with us, he needed another belt, and the organization was still paying attention to that need.
The story offers a glimpse of how Clear Foundation approaches service. Its work includes hearing what someone asks for and responding with something useful. A person’s request might be for food, a cup of coffee, or an item of clothing.
These details matter because they come from the people Clear Foundation serves. Patrick needs a belt. A family needs food while living on a fixed income. Clear Foundation’s response begins with those specific needs and its desire to help.
For us, getting to know our partners includes hearing these everyday stories. They help us understand the people and relationships behind the food we work together to share.
Working together in local hunger relief
Clear Foundation sees its partnership with Midwest Food Bank as a way to help provide food and support its hopes for future projects. We share its commitment to helping people meet a basic daily need.
Through our nonprofit partner program, Midwest Food Bank provides food at no charge to organizations that distribute it in their communities. Food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other nonprofit agencies bring that food into their own work with individuals and families.
Our staff and volunteers help prepare and load food for partner pickups. Those organizations then take the food back to the communities they serve. Each part of that process supports the next, connecting food resources with people who need them.
Clear Foundation brings its own care, relationships, and commitment to this shared work. Its experience with Patrick and the family receiving food reminds us why those connections matter. Our partners know the requests they hear and the people who turn to them.
Working together allows us to support local hunger relief through organizations already committed to serving others. We are thankful for the care Clear Foundation brings to that responsibility.
A shared commitment to hope
Faith is central to Clear Foundation’s work. The organization looks to God as it faces challenges and names providing hope as one of its goals. Helping others and volunteering also hold personal meaning for those involved.
That purpose takes shape in the help it describes: food for daily living, attention to a practical request, and continued support that a family remembers with gratitude.
We are grateful for partners like Clear Foundation and for everyone who helps make this shared work possible. To take part in local hunger relief, explore Midwest Food Bank volunteer opportunities on Golden or learn about ways to give and serve through our Bloomington-Normal location.
Together, we can help our partners continue caring for the people who turn to them.
