MFB Haiti partners with Matthew 28 feeding ministry

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Midwest Food Bank Haiti is blessed to begin a partnership with Matthew 28 ministry, near Pignon, Haiti. Matthew 28 has been serving here for 28 years. It currently operates 19 feeding programs aimed at providing nutrition to children from birth to five years old. The first five years of life is when most cognitive and brain development occurs. Protein and nutrients are desperately needed during this time.

Five days a week, each location provides a lunch meal to 50 children. Often these five meals are the only ones the children will eat in the week. For children too young to eat the meal, it is given to the nursing mothers.

MFB Haiti has committed to sponsor a 20th feeding center using Tender Mercies, MFB’s packaged meal of chicken seasoned rice and beans, fortified with vitamins and protein. Lord willing, the center will be operational by mid-summer. MFB Haiti is thankful to work with Matthew 28 to provide food for development to these young people.
