All the food that comes in and goes out the doors of Midwest Food Bank needs to be documented. That attention to detail is critical, and volunteers often make it happen.
At MFB Indiana, Marla Tolle does that vital work. She tracks the food given out on distribution days and records food that enters and leaves the warehouse. Her role as assistant to the operations manager fills a need that would otherwise need to be paid staff.
Marla logs many volunteer hours for MFB does it with contagious joy. She is also the primary care provider for her mother, so it’s safe to say that service is in her DNA.
“Marla’s ‘can-do’ attitude and joyful spirit are a testimony of her willingness to live her life each day to the glory of God,” says John Whitaker, Executive Director of MFB Indiana.
At Midwest Food Bank, over 99¢ of every dollar donated goes toward our programs and services. An army of dedicated volunteers like Marla makes that possible.
