Midwest Food Bank Helps Victims of Tornado in Oklahoma

Midwest Food Bank has responded to a request from The Salvation Army and is sending family food boxes to victims of the tornado in Oklahoma.

A family food box contains food and personal care products for a family of four for four or five days. The first two loads of boxes were delivered Thursday morning with additional loads expected to leave next week.

Each semi trailer holds 750 boxes. The food bank is also sending pallets of bottled water and drink.

Each box is valued at $23 with a semi load costing $17,250. Individuals wishing to assist in the preparation of the boxes go to our contact page for information. If you wish to donate to Midwest Food Bank efforts, you may do so by clicking here.
