The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints continues to be a valued partner in furthering the mission of Midwest Food Bank.
During the 2025 holiday season, the Morton division had the opportunity to participate in the Light the World Giving Machine campaign, an initiative designed to make charitable giving simple and accessible.
Through this campaign, nearly $18,000 was raised to support humanitarian efforts. The Giving Machine, located inside Coral Ridge Mall in Coralville, Iowa, was available for three weeks during the holiday season and welcomed many donors who chose to give to a variety of causes.
Midwest Food Bank was included as part of the giving options, with five different items available for selection: a cleaning supply kit, hygiene kit, protein meal, 500 meals, and a food box. Each selection represented a tangible way for donors to support families in need.
These funds directly strengthen the ability to provide food assistance and disaster relief, helping extend care to communities facing difficult circumstances.
