Prayer, conversation, and collaboration brought local leaders together at the State of the City: Naples, Listening Well. Serving Together event in Collier County.
Midwest Food Bank Florida joined representatives from local churches and nonprofit organizations for a panel focused on challenges facing the Naples community and the role collaboration can play in addressing them.
The conversation brought together Hailey De Los Santos of David Lawrence Center; Pastor Eric Hauser of Collier County Jail; Jessica Betten Slater of Justin’s Place Recovery Program; Michael Nojunas of Campbell Lodge Shelter; and Dennis Hall Jr., Executive Director of Midwest Food Bank Florida. Charlie Mitchell moderated the panel, with Ben Bridges, Billy Curry, and the Church United team also participating in the gathering.
St. Matthew’s House hosted the event, creating an opportunity for local leaders to listen to one another, share what they are seeing through their organizations, and discuss ways to better serve the Naples community together.
One message from the day captured the spirit of the conversation: “We don’t need everybody doing everything. We need everybody doing something and doing it together.”
I would use this in place of the existing second and third paragraphs. I kept the affiliations exactly as provided rather than expanding titles or organizational relationships we weren’t given.
