Sean Galvin is a familiar presence, often seen at the food bank five or six days a week. As a regular driver, his steady commitment helps keep food moving.
Before volunteering, Sean worked in commercial roofing, where he maintained a Class 2 driver’s license. That experience now supports his role behind the wheel, allowing him to serve in a practical and consistent way.
Sean’s connection to this work goes back nearly five years. He first began volunteering as a driver with an organization called Carter Cares. Alongside Carter, he helped deliver the very first truckload of Gatorade to the food bank. When Carter retired and donated remaining inventory, many of those volunteers, including Sean, continued their service.
Outside of his time driving, Sean is deeply involved in his community. He serves as Deputy Grand Knight of the local Knights of Columbus and is the head usher at his church. His faith plays a central role in his life and in his service.
“We are baptized to serve,” Sean shared.
That belief continues to guide his commitment. For Sean, the best part of serving is simple, the opportunity to drive and the people he meets along the way.
His presence, consistency, and willingness to serve reflect a quiet but steady impact that helps sustain the workday after day.
