New nonprofit leadership intern at MFB Arizona

Abby Anderson is taking what she is learning in the classroom at Arizona State University and putting it into practice at Midwest Food Bank Arizona. She is currently finishing her degree at ASU in nonprofit leadership and management. Abby has joined MFB as a full-time volunteer intern.

“I wanted to serve at Midwest Food Bank because I believe this experience will help me learn what it is like to work with real people at a real nonprofit,” says Abby. “I am also a huge fan of the mission and vision of the food bank and I believe each person that walks through the doors at MFB is excited to serve, no matter their background or ability.”

Abby also works part-time at Sun Valley Community Church as a pre-teen ministry coordinator. It was there that she met MFB Arizona advisory board member Grant Botma and he connected her with MFB. Welcome to the MFB family, Abby.
