Satellite distributions allow Midwest Food Bank to share the blessings with non-profit feeding programs not close to us. Until now, Tucson was the only one satellite distribution for MFB Arizona.
May 2, 2019 was the first pick-up for distribution in Flagstaff, AZ. MFB Arizona has been working with the Flagstaff Family Food Center and The Pantry to supprt food relief efforts in Northern Arizona. Ultimately, we hope to provide a distribution in Flagstaff for 30+ Flagstaff area partners.
Eight pallets of food were picked up to be distributed in Flagstaff. Though a small amount of food, it represents the first step in a great opportunity to reach more Arizonans struggling with food insecurity.
