Our volunteers, our best advocates

Midwest Food Bank volunteers become our best advocates and the Ingham family of Washington is a great example of that. They were encouraged to volunteer at Midwest Food Bank by the Otte family – regular volunteer leaders at the Morton Division.

“We needed to find something that our family could do together and enjoy while serving our community,” Tara Ingham said. Tara and her husband, Chad, have three children ages 6, 10 and 14. They first volunteered with friends from Rock Church. Since then they have brought their daughter’s cheerleading group from Washington Central Intermediate School, hosted their daughter’s birthday party by packaging Tender Mercies and when grandparents were visiting at Christmas from Arizona the family brought them to MFB.

“My ultimate goal is to find new people and show them how easy it is,” Tara said about volunteering.

Thanks Ingham family for serving and advocating for Midwest Food Bank!
