Reactions to fresh produce

It has been six weeks since Midwest Food Bank began getting loads of fresh produce donated by Walmart. We began doing Tuesday and Thursday produce distributions during the weeks we are not doing regular distribution. We’d like to share some of the many positive comments from the agencies we serve:

“It was well received. Our families can’t always afford these items.”

“We increased our distribution dates. The healthier options are marvelous.”

“We are able to bless more people!”

“It has had a wonderful impact on our food pantry. We absolutely love it!”

“Clients are always extremely happy to get fresh produce.”

One of the best comments: “A client shared that she is off some her meds, and does not need to go to the doctor every month. She said she could not afford fresh produce and it’s made a big difference.”

Lastly, one of our agencies reported that, “Clients are thanking God.” MFB is thankful to be able to pass on what the LORD has provided.
