In 2016, Amanda inspired her 3 children, Alexandra, Colin and Ian, to forgo gifts and collect cans of food at their birthday celebrations. Soon after each birthday, the family loads up their donations and head to Midwest Food Bank – Peoria. (more to the story)
There is a sweet sibling rivalry about whether their donation would be greater than their own weight, and it always is! Little do they know how impactful their donations are to those in need and how our hearts are lifted by their unselfish acts of service.
