586634 1Expanding Hope Through New Volunteer Coordinator
By Sam Thompson, Executive Director

Welcome to the Family, Fran!

It is with great joy and gratitude that we welcome Fran Stanton to the Midwest Food Bank Texas family as our new Volunteer Coordinator.

God has blessed this ministry through the faithful service of thousands of volunteers who answer His call to serve others. Every pallet wrapped, every box packed, and every meal distributed is possible because of hands and hearts willing to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Fran’s role is vital to our mission. She will cultivate relationships with individuals, churches, businesses, schools, and community organizations, creating opportunities for people to live out their faith through service. As she recruits, encourages, and equips volunteers, her ministry will help expand our capacity to reach more families facing hunger while sharing Christ’s love in tangible ways.

Please join me in praying for Fran as she begins this new chapter. We are excited to see how God will use her gifts and leadership to strengthen our volunteer ministry and advance His work throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

May God continue to bless our team as we serve together with compassion, excellence, and a shared commitment to bringing hope to those in need.

Operations Update
By Sammy Salinas, Operations Manager

Thanks to the generous support of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Texas Division has received a grant to purchase a new semi-truck. This critical investment will strengthen our transportation capacity, enabling us to rescue and distribute even more food and essential products throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

In addition, we recently received two full truckloads of food and essential products from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These donations have significantly increased our inventory and will help our partner agencies provide nourishment and hope to thousands of individuals and families across our service area.

We are deeply grateful for this outstanding partnership. Together, we continue to share the love of Christ by alleviating hunger and bringing hope to the communities we serve.

People and partnerships continue strengthening the mission everyday.
