Expanding Hope Through New Partnerships
By Sam Thompson, Executive Director
At Midwest Food Bank, Texas Division, the mission continues to grow stronger as we welcome eleven new Partner Agencies into our network of care and service across Texas.
According to Sam Thompson, the addition of these agencies represents far more than growth in numbers. It reflects an expanding opportunity to reach more families, children, seniors, and individuals facing food insecurity in communities throughout the region.
“Every new Partner Agency expands our ability to place food and resources directly into the hands of people who need it most,” Thompson shared. “These partnerships strengthen local communities and create new pathways of hope for families experiencing hardship.”
The onboarding process includes orientation, relationship building, operational support, and ongoing collaboration to ensure each agency is equipped to serve effectively and efficiently. Through these partnerships, Midwest Food Bank, Texas Division continues its commitment to multiplying impact while reducing food insecurity throughout the state.
Commitment Through Every Challenge
By Sammy Salinas, Operations Manager
Operations Manager Sammy Salinas recently highlighted the resilience and determination of the Midwest Food Bank team after experiencing mechanical issues with one of the division’s semi-trucks.
“Even with a broken semi-truck, we are still able to meet the needs of our Partner Agencies,” Salinas explained. “Through brokered loads and local procurement efforts, we have continued providing food and essential supplies without interruption.”
By leveraging strategic partnerships, local purchasing, and alternative transportation solutions, the Texas Division ensured agencies continued receiving critical products needed to serve their communities.
This dedication reflects the heart of Midwest Food Bank’s mission: obstacles may arise, but the commitment to serving others remains unwavering. Through teamwork, creativity, and strong community partnerships, the Texas Division continues delivering hope and nourishment to thousands across Texas every month.
