MFB Peoria and Morton joined together with our partner agency, Stop The Violence Project (STVP), for their recent street festival in Peoria on August 8th. It was a big success with over 1,665 children and adults having a great time! Event included games and concessions, food, music and preaching, and lots of fun! We hope that we can make this a regular event!
Our partner agency, STVP is an arm of Ambassadors For Christ Ministries in Decatur, IL. For further information visit their website: jessiebatesministries.org. The event was held at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park in Peoria. The purpose of the event is to share the gospel, provide food and games in a fun way, and connect people with local churches. Our job at MFB was to provide over 1,000 food boxes to the attendees, all were given away!
