Midwest Food Bank East Africa celebrated a successful first-ever Swing to Feed Golf Tournament, bringing together supporters, businesses, and community leaders for a day centered on impact and generosity.
Held in partnership with Ridgeways Baptist Church and Britam, the inaugural event welcomed 218 golfers, 31 volunteers, and 27 corporate sponsors. The tournament also included a dinner gathering, digital awareness campaign, and opportunities for supporters to help expand the mission of feeding vulnerable families across Kenya.
Together, the event raised more than $30,000 to support hunger relief efforts through Kapu Africa.
Beyond the numbers, the tournament reflected the power of community collaboration. Every golfer, sponsor, volunteer, and donor played a role in helping extend food access and practical support to families facing hardship.
Since 2017, the broader Swing to Feed initiative has helped distribute millions of meals throughout Kenya. This year’s event continued that momentum while creating new opportunities to grow awareness and strengthen partnerships around the mission.
The success of this first tournament marks the beginning of what organizers hope will become a lasting annual tradition, one that continues turning generosity into nourishment and hope for communities in need.
One day of generosity created lasting impact for families across Kenya.
