On November 12, 2019, Godwin Matswa, Kapu Africa (MFB East Africa) employee, was invited by the department of Gender (People with Disabilities) in Makueni County to inform others about Tender Mercies, MFB’s packaged meal.
Godwin drove for two and a half hours to Wote, a town which is the headquarters of Makueni County. Forty organizations had representatives who had come for training and cooking. The training started at 9:00 a.m. Godwin explained the nutritional components of Tender Mercies and preparation. As Godwin has been making more and more of these types of demonstrations, he now travels with a gas burner, cooking pot, utensils and seasonings. The participants cooked and tasted and they loved it. Talks to begin a partnership are underway.
