So often it is the unexpected that is the greatest blessing. On June 28, Midwest Food Bank Arizona held its first off-site packing activity at the Desert Financial corporate offices in Tempe, AZ.
Just 2 ½ weeks earlier a representative of Desert Financial was passing by MFB in Arizona and stopped in to see if we could fill the event gap left by another non-profit that had to cancel. We quickly said yes and began work with the Desert Financial team to handle all of the logistics.
In the end, about 70 Desert financial volunteers teamed with Midwest Food Bank to transform 14 pallets of bulk crackers into 4044 family packs! Each Desert Financial volunteer left with
