Senior executives from Vanguard’s Global Investment Operations recently met at MFB Arizona to hold a business strategy session. One of their agenda items was “learn about Midwest Food Bank.”
During that session Vanguard employees also did hands-on volunteering repackaging bulk food. MFB frequently receives corporate donations of food in large quantities. Volunteer groups repackage this food into smaller amounts that are easier to distribute to individuals.
The group also learned more about MFB history, programs, and the new MFB location in Pennsylvania. Vanguard’s corporate offices are located in Malvern, PA. The company annually hosts a nautical-themed virtual food drive called “All Cans on Deck.”
“They are a company with a strong philanthropic culture of volunteering and donating, ” says Merilee Baptiste, executive director.
