Tender Mercies is a meal program of Midwest Food Bank and is making its “packing” debut here in Georgia. It is a low cost, high nutrition meal packet, consisting of chicken seasoned rice and beans fortified with vitamins and protein.
Over the past couple of years, Midwest Food Bank has packed millions of these nutritious meals at our facilities in Illinois. We look forward to sharing this blessing here at MFB Georgia June 28-30. We will have four packing sessions the weekend. Your entire family, social group or business can work together packing Tender Mercies.
Volunteers are needed to help pack over 58,000 meals. There will be 4 packing sessions; Friday June 28, 4:00-6:30 p.m., Saturday June 29, 8:30 – 11 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m., Sunday June 30, 2-4:30 p.m.. Volunteers can sign up here.
