Aaron Patterson has joined the Midwest Food Bank New England team as Development Manager, bringing a people first approach shaped by years of experience in education, service, and relationship building.
Aaron spent 17 years working in educational sales and customer service, developing a strong foundation in listening, collaboration, and support. Prior to joining Midwest Food Bank, he and his family lived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where Aaron taught at Haven of Peace Academy, a Christian international school.
Aaron holds a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology from Wheaton College in Illinois and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from Olivet Nazarene University. His background reflects both academic depth and a long standing commitment to serving others.
Outside of work, Aaron enjoys playing board games with his wife and their five children, listening to music, and spending time outdoors. This move marks his first time living in New England, and he is enjoying the opportunity to explore the region’s outdoor spaces and rich history.
Aaron relocated from the Midwest to Connecticut and began his role earlier this January. His experience, curiosity, and steady care for people make him a meaningful addition to the team.
