When the recent government shutdown left many in Southwest Florida unsure how they would put food on the table, Word of Life Ministries in Fort Myers stepped forward with compassion, and Midwest Food Bank Florida served alongside them in faith.
Led by Brandalynn Lewis, the pantry supports 150–200 people daily, reaching nearly 7,000 individuals each month across Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Lehigh Acres. As Brandalynn shared, “In the face of the government shutdown, we’ve witnessed the impact of community-driven support. Midwest Food Bank’s unwavering commitment to serving with grace has strengthened our efforts to share nourishment with our neighbors.”

Together, Word of Life Ministries and Midwest Food Bank Florida show how compassion and collaboration multiply impact, especially in challenging seasons.
