What We Do

"Our hope is to help bridge the gap between prosperity and poverty in our community."

- David Kieser, Founder & President

  • Hunger and food insecurity are significant problems facing our country and communities, but MFB’s ability to solve the problem, with your help, is also significant.
  • Over 100 billion pounds of food (or 40% of the food available for human consumption in the US) is literally thrown out each year.
  • Every day MFB redistributes good, wholesome food that would otherwise be wasted.
  • There is no cost to the food donors or the recipient agencies we serve.
